Duo of sister and brother has performed together since their
childhood. Since Kalle Toivio started to play organ as well,
this duo will give concerts as cello and organ duo as well.
Duo has performed concerts in Finland, Hungary, Denmark,
England, Japan and USA. They have recorded for radio in Finland
(YLE), Belgium (KLARA) and England (BBC). |

has performed since 2005. They have performed many concerts,
also on concert tours and music festivals.
Repertoire includes
works from baroque to modern. Very often they perform Finnish
music by Armas Järnefelt, Toivo Kuula and Oskar Merikanto,
and also J. S. Bach, Händel, Donizetti, A. F. Servais,
Elgar, Debussy and Ravel among others. |

The famous Finnish Barytone Esa Ruuttunen and
3 cellos ensemble is founded by the Makkonen brothers; the quartet has succesfully performed at prestigious music festivals in Finland, and has played concerts in many important churches around the country. Its repertoire includes arrangements by Matti Makkonen from the Songs of the Sion, and also Negrospirituals for 3 cellos. |
