performs at the Optima Hall in Pietarsaari (Finland) today, Sunday, October 28th at 6 pm. Rare harp chamber music composed by Claude Debussy, Jean Cras, and André Jolivet.
Oceanides started to perform in 2006–2007. Elegant ladies met at the Sibelius Academy when Ms. Puusepp invited the talented instrumentalists to join her Doctoral concerts. Oceanides’ repertoire includes works by André Caplet, Henrik Badings, Jean Cras, André Jolivet, Jean-Michel Damase, Vincent D’Indy, Joseph Jongen, and Heitor Villa-Lobos to name a few.
In 2012 Oceanides performes in Pietarsaari and Helsinki, e.g. at the Aino Ackté Chamber Music Festival. In November 2013 they will appear at the prestigious Brahe Classica Festival in Raahe, Finland. Future plans include more concerts in Finland and also abroad, and a recording of the debut album.
