When Seeli was a little girl, around 6 years old, she used to improvise her own music on piano. She sat there for hours and hours, and also sang her own songs.
Seeli saw a synthesizer at a music shop when she was about 8 years old. She got so inspired by the sounds of it! She so much wanted to have it, but didn’t – perhaps a wise decision from her parents. Studying the cello came first. But Seeli kept on improvising her tunes on the piano. And the songs. Luckily she recorded them and the piano improvisations on tape.
The will and need to create never seized over the years. As a teenager, Seeli used to write short stories, poems, and song lyrics. And kept on improvising on the piano, dreaming of the day when she could do pop music with a big, professional syntheziser. Alongside classical music, she enjoyed listening to pop music as well.
When she was studying in London, she got her first synthesizer. It was a dream come true for her! It was a huge digital pop-making machine with multiple tracks and all the technical goodies you could then think of. With that machine, she made loads and loads songs of her own style music: “new age” mixed with pop style.
The composing and writing came to a temporary halt in 2003.
During this June 2013, however, she suddenly got the “pop making sparkle” again. Just a few days ago, Seeli bought the professional music making program “Logic Pro 9” (composing, mixing, editing, recording audio, etc.).
This time she is absolutely determined to continue her music making and composing, and will publish her 1st ever pop album in the future.
More about Seeli’s composing projects will be informed here.
